Just bought Select Edition '05 XJR w Rear Ent System and i can't figure out how to get it to work.

I'm pressing buttons on monitors and in center box, also no audio is coming from the back speakers. Any ideas on what the problem might be?

I tried to insert a dvd and the player doesn't appear to be getting power....not sure though.

1)Any idea on how to fix
2)Is this covered under warranty?

I just bought it and will push to get original dealer to work issue out, but I'm wondering if I'm protected by warranty.

Luckily I can get my 13 yr old son to get it to work for me

Look on the settings menu for the audio and vehicle on the nav screen. Without going out to my car to take a look, I believe that the driver can disable the rear controls for the entertainment system.

The Rear Entertainment Controls can be disabled from the front screen.
If this is the case easy fix to just press a button or two to re-enable the system controls for the back from the front

 

Looks like they're replacing the module for the entertainment system.

 

Does anyone know where I can get the rear entertainment module for a '08 XJ8 VDP
