Rear park sensor speaker
Hello-
On the 'new to me' 2004 XJ8 Topaz, the rear park sensors did not function. I was able to hear the sonic 'clicking' so was hopeful that is was a speaker issue.
While I had the rear parcel out, I was able to remove the rear park sensor speaker. I pulled the harness down through the parcel shelf and into the trunk so that I would not have to remove the parcel shelf to replace.
In doing a search for part number 3W83-15K864-AA, I saw a reference to Ford Transit. Called the local FORD dealer and ordered it by the jag part number. Cost about $10; that is a lot better than what the jag 3W83-15K864-AA are going for on ebay.
So, if you need a rear park sensor speaker for 04-09 XJ8 (and likely others), consider phoning your local ford dealer.
Thanks-
mag

I've been without a reverse alarm since I purchased my XJR two years ago. I was afraid the problem was the sensor computer and that would have likely been expensive. I tried the cheap fix ($7) suggested by magmedia and it worked perfectly. Thank you!
