Rear power seats just stopped working.
They were working this morning and then this afternoon they stopped working, only the lumbar works on both sides. Both sides, right and left won't do anything else (headrests, recline, move passenger seat). Any ideas before I take it to the dealer for warranty service. Maybe a fuse?

I would suggest the fuse if both side have the same issue.

Man, I can't see any fuses in the electrical diagram. May be I'm not reading it right.
The seat motors are connected to the rear memory module, while the lumbar is connected straight to the switches, so may be yur memory module is acting up. You could try re-setting the car by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.

The rear memory buttons don't work either now, so you could be right. Perhaps when the dealer added the ACM last week, something got messed up?
This a bit spooky to me. I have an 06 Super V8 as well with the identical symptoms. Not sure when it began, but my son reported to me that he could not adjust the rear right hand seast and so i tried left, right and memory. All failed. Lumbar is fine, just as in yours. It's going in to the dealer tomorrow under warranty repair. I'll report on what they find. Hopefully just a fuse, butI couldn't tell what fuse, so in to the dealer it goes.

Actually, while the problem is small, my 6'8" son who rides in the rear isn't andmade so much noise (strange rumbling sound from the rear of the car)thatI took it in. He just really likes to adjust the rear seat he is sitting in. In fact, that's a good thing. Whenthe rear head rest isset for him, most people have no head rest.
I'll post as soon as I know what the story is.

Surpised no one else thought of this. I just happended to look down at teh driver's side swtchpack and noticed the window lock-out indicator light was illuminated. Since I never have occasion to use this feature, I disabled it and then it dawned on me that this also disables memory and power functions for the rear seats.
Everything worksas it shouldnow, though I must say it is yet another odd design flaw on Jaguar's part.
Charlienmr, perhaps this is your situation as well.

I tried that after I read through the manual. Would have been a nice solution. I got a message from the service advisor at my dealer that there was a problem with a connector. No more details, but i will ask what the issue was when i pick it up this afternoon. I do wish it was just the switch. Anyway, it was in the manual on page 81 (for the 06 XJ range). Here's the words.
Note:
Operation of the front seat by a rear
seat passenger and rear seat operation,
except for lumbar adjustment, can be
disabled from the driver’s door
switchpack rear feature immobilisation
switch. (See
WINDOW OPERATION on
page 87.)
I picked my Super V8 up at lunch today. The rear seat problem was fixed. I am told that a ribbon connector underneath the seats was the culprit. After replacement of the defective connector, the problem was solved. Now I did not see the connector and am repeating more or less what the service report said. Interestingly, they also said that the right side lumbar was not working before the repair andI thought it was. oh well, this isn;t all that useful. By the way,I have confirmed that you can in fact switch off the rear seat controls using the lock switch for the windows as described in the manual and mentioned by jahummer above.
One more thing. They had a brand new 2008Super V8, Liquid Silver and Warm Charcoal,, fully optioned (sat radio installed) sitting in the show room. That replaced the 08 Super V8 Portfolio that had been there since I bought mine. I asked if the Portfolio had sold. Yes it had, I was told. I keep an eye out for it.

chadmc5c,
I wish that more things were designed so kids couldn;t break them. And it would be even better to have a kid-proofing button that you could just press so that kids were locked out. BTW, I consider my 16YO son in the kid category. In fact, kid probably runs up to, oh 23 or so.
