Question Rear side marker lens removal

My rear side red indicator lights are out. According to the manual, it says to push the front of the lens in/forward and lift the rear of the lens. It ain't moving!!

Anyone know the correct method to remove the cover. Need to replace the bulb.

Thanks!

I use a small flat head screw driver, i carefully at the top of the light, where the front where it meets the chrome trim, pretty the light off. There its a metal tab there that locks it into place. Carefully depress it down whole pulling out the light from the trim side of it. Thus should work, with finesse and manipulation. Let me know if this helps. In the car of my jag, the housing are cracked where the light bulb inserts. This makes it kinda difficult. The light bends a bit to much while removing, causing the red cover to separate. Careful!

Thumbs up

Thanks! Worked well. Did notice that the lens was cracked... probably happened the last time the bulb was replaced.

I guess the manual wasn't correct at all. It didn't make sense but I tried it anyway but didn't budge.
