Default Rear Window Shade

Does anyone know of a quick fix for a rear window shade that won't come up. It is on my 2007 XJR and was that way when I got the car. It seems to start to do something, but nothing much happens.

I think if you take the back seat out you can get to it fairly easily. May just need adjusting or a simple tap.. The one in my Benz needed to be exercised to work when I got it.. apparently it had never been used until I got the car.

Grab it all pull it up alittle past the trim in sits in, they tend to stick without use. It should be fine after that. I fix these all the time for this

Today the rear window shade just decided to start working again. I was on the way to the Jag dealer to have it repaired and thought I would try it again just for grins. I worked just fine. Go figure. Anyone else have a similar experience. I will try to cycle it more often to keep it limber.

Hi, the blind in mine was stuck a couple of years ago after it had not been used through the winter, had been down maybe 6 months, I had someone else operate the button as I coaxed it out.
I also now make sure I operate it every so often to stop it sticking again, no problems since.

I use it every time I am in the car. I park it with it up and drive with it down unless needed. I try to use all of the motorized electrical things as often as I can. I think of it as preventative maintenance.
