Default Ride height question

My '06 XJR rides about 1/2 inch higher in the back. When I unlock the door the car attempts to level but stops at this point. I just replaced the front struts and had to remove the height sensors in the process. I don't know how it sat before the change.

Shouldn't the car sit level front to back?

thanks

Sounds like the ride heights need calibrating again after the repairs.

This is done using the diagnostics socket and a PC with the relevant program. Vehicle height can be raised and lowered from the PC and when the height measurement is correct, this is confirmed to the air suspension control so it knows the values to expect from the ride height sensors. Car first has to have the correct weight from the definition, but I'm not sure what this is, probably vehicle empty with a full tank of fuel.
