That seems cheap for the auxiliary pump especially if its new
The Bosch inter-cooler pumps are okay but when you look at the the fast Benz's they don't use Bosch pumps and have quite a few complaints on there forums about them
that why I used the Johnson
Go for a larger intercooler radiator as well at a later date the CM90 will push the coolant no doubts about that
enlarge the hoses and fittings at the same time including the charge cooler in the manifold
I just posted, then deleted my entire post to say this.
I was asking if you could tell me the location of the SC pump ( in the post I just deleted)... Could not find it in the JEPC, I kept missing the correct section. Also I couldn't find a thread on its location either... Unless I was just missing it too. Don't think so though.
The Aux coolant pump is beside the radiator (on the frame rail) under the coolant resevour
The S/C Pump is near the aux pump but behind the bumper. You ca see it if you remove the fog lamp
Was doing some more research on that pump and I came across some threads on the Benz forums, they say that the pump may flow too much... It is a mighty big upgrade.. If I go that route, I will like to upgrade the Surface area of that radiator.
Another inquiry for you.
Any recommendations for a larger inter-cooler radiator? Custom? Lots of guys saying that the Eurotoys unit is too fat.
34by151, was I mistaken too have read sometime that you were running a Killer chiller Setup? I would love to know more about this. May not have been you.

When they talk about to much flow they talk about to much flow through the merc radiator/heat exchanger its like running a car without the thermostat to fast and the cooling effect is lost but a larger radiator with bigger diameter hoses would negate that effect
WhenI did mine I sourced a aftermarket alloy radiator from the scrap yard and modified the tanks it was nearly the size of the cooling radiator
My car was also a AJ16 6 cylinder car
If I was doing it all again I would also increase the diameter of the hoses so the pressure drops a bit but the flow increases do some searching for aftermarket alloy radiators then modify the tanks then you will be able to hold more coolant in the system more coolant with a bigger pump and hoses you will also need to enlarge the fittings on the manifold side as well so you are circulating the coolant at a reasonable speed its a lot of tinkering when I did it there was nothing available for the XJR6 cars
I wanted to do a pulley change but all the pulleys where more than 10% overdrive driving the M90 past its maximum safe speed so I began tinkering with lowering the intake charge temps
Which is not as easy as it sounds I started with the pump because when I looked at the original pump it was puny little thing and we get extremely hot weather where I live most of the year
I did get the AJ16 going very well in the end but the car didn't become a nice car to drive after all the mods around town fine on the open road but at the snails pace they have for a speed limit here and the heavy trafic all the time I ended up not using the car that's why I bought a plain XJ8 X350 4.2 such a nice car to drive at any speed

Trying to show my nephew that light weight good power and chassis design is the key to going fast not bloated all wheel drive cars where you need massive power to overcome the weight
That's why I like the aluminium X350 its light for such a big car
while you there doing this job I would advise you to replace the DCCV Heater valve... the pump is held by a 8 mm bolt above the valve, the valve is removed by the taking off the front passenger tire, then remove the fender lining then you will see the two heater lines held by pressure clamps, remove them, once the pump is off go back up top use a loong extention and you will see the one bolt from above to remove the 8 or 10mm DCCV valve, once it is off then just lift the valve to expose the upper line and electrical connector.The reason for this is because these valves do leak, and it would only make sense to replace it since you working in that area....
I recently swapped both pumps due to "cold air issue on driver side". I used 010 Bosch for SC and also Bosch for aux. The problem with cold air gone but I did notice that main fan started to work almost constantly even in cold weather under very light load and smooth cruising. All the time and any load engine temp is rock solid. I also changed coolant that time.. As for SC performance I really noticed that now car is ready to push right from the traffic jam and it also shows more stamina when I push in stop-light traffic but this fan.. getting me nervous a bit. What can be an issue and solution? Thermostat?
