Best find out for sure. My car has the OEM alarm and can sit for months without the battery going dead. Did you try the trick I suggested up above about disconnecting the battery?

 

I don't double lock (press remote lock twice) my car. Does only one "press" cause the computer not to shut down .
It's still at the shop. I passed on disconnecting the battery. I'm not sure that's what they did.

 

Just picked up my Jag from the mechanic. Seems as though there was an inside rear light turned on. This was causing a slow drain on my battery.

I sure do hope this is the solution to my "dead" battery problem. It sure felt great to get behind the wheel

A light left on should have been easily picked up on with your previous battery draw tests. I hope they actually found the problem for you.

 

Hmmm my car alarm went off yesterday . I'm not sure if it's related to my battery problem I spoke to the shop this A.M. and they said they could disconnect my car alarm. Pls advise
