Shake at 70mph- Yes been through this before
Well I get a shake at about 60-70mph that is now t real violent at "TIMES". This has been an ongoing on/off again issue for the past few years. I though perhaps it was related to my brake pad change a few years back as I was told sometimes that can cause this issue and seemed to occur after the brake change. It's not a warped rotor issue as there is nothing felt when braking, even hard braking. Occasionally the vibration seemed to go away then come back or change when hard turning at speed. Again a 60-70mph issue
More recently I did a tire swap. Had my wheels road force balanced and the vibration became violent. It does seem to change when again turning at speed or if I hit a bump....Which leads me to believe its maybe a suspension issue. I did a little bit of research and someone mentioned upper control arms going bad can cause this issue. The boots are torn but the car feels rock solid until that magical vibration point. I just want to sort out the issues I currently have with this car. I may just redo the entire front suspension but would like some thought on causation from some people that have had similar issues. Thoughts? And thanks in advance

I have the exact same problem. Some time it does it some time not, but it is always at 65-70 mph, go over a little and it stops. On a private road of course, you wouldn't want to speed on the public highway
I had a vibration on my 2004 Super v8, it was diagnosed by the dealer as being the " doughnut " propshaft joint, just had it changed and problem solved. I know there can be lots of things causing vibrations but in my case this was the issue. Worth a look for you maybe.
Never thought to look, but I feel it in the steering wheel. Really seems suspension related
After getting the car back I actually think there is virtually zero vibration at all now.
