Hi, Its time to replace my shocks on my 2002 XJ8 Vanden Plas. I am leaning towards Bilstein B6 front and back but I need some info on the front shock mount. There are a couple of choices with a wide margin in price. How do you determine if your Vanden Plas has adaptive control? The top of the line OE runs $81 US with Adaptive control but there are other cheaper versions. What am I paying for with the most expensive shock mounts? I also should ask do I need other parts for this job like washers and other bushings not included with the Bilsteun B6? Any other heads up tips would be appreciated. Thanks, Rowkid

 

Might do better in the X308 forum, where your model year fits... The X350 cars are all air struts, completely different system.
