What kind of cost am I looking at to replace bad shock towers on 2006 XK8 convertible?

 

bad shock towers?? Can you be more specific? shocks? Bushings?

 

That's what I was told, but I may have misunderstood? I think they said they were crumbling.

 

They were referring to the shock mounts. They and the isolators fail eventually as they are a dense foam. The lower shock mounts should probably also be replaced while the shocks and springs are out.

The parts are not expensive, less than $200, I believe, but it could take up to ten hours depending on how they do it. I recall a procedure that cuts the time in half, and someone will probably be able to reference that for you.
