Default Softer ride for Super 8?

I am interested in getting an XJ Super 8, but I am reading that the 19 inch tires give it a harsher ride than the XJL with the 18 inch wheels without the super charger.
Is it possible to put 18 inch "comfort" tires on the Super 8 or would I just be better off going for an XJL with 18 wheels if comfort is my main goal?
Would love to have my cake and it eat it having a super charged cat with comfort tires...

Thanks!

I have 19 inch wheels on my car. It rides more like a cruiser than a sports car. The Jaguar sport suspension is still a comfort ride.

The Super V8 has comfort suspension. Mine rides on 20" and it is fine. If you really want it softer than that then go to 18", in the winter I have 18" wheels on with the winter tyres and it is even smoother so that may be your best option. The super charger noise and performance is amazing.

Same for my Super V8.
20" for summer and 18" for winter (the 18" clear the brakes)

On my Super V8 with the 19" original wheels the ride is fine on the highway and over large bumps but very harsh over small jiggly pavement disruptions. It seems to me that the bushings were tuned for 18 or even 17" wheels and marketing stepped in and kept enlarging them. Either that or the bushings have lost compliance over the years. I don't have experience with smaller wheels but I think they would smooth out the harshness.

With the outside diameter of the tire staying the same, the smaller the wheel, the larger the sidewall, & the softer the ride.

But the SV-8 has a longer wheelbase which smooths out the ride also.
