Default Speed control to cruise control

I posted earlier about my phone stopping working but it is less important than this problem. I had my car serviced yesterday by previous Jaguar dealer which is no longer an official Jaguar agent and on the way home I found my cruise control had become speed limiter. I know they had to go on line to find out how to get rid of the "service required" message and assume this has changed my speed control /cruise control settings. Do I have to go to a main dealer to have this fixed?

Isn't there a button on the dash that is used to set a top speed limit? I don't think you need to go to the dealer for this...check your owners manual if you have one.

Yes, some of the later cars had an ASL button next to the hazard warning light switch. If your car doesn't have that, it sounds like they have chosen the wrong options if they plugged a WDS/IDS in.

Thank you so much - I found the button which must have been pressed by accident, and switched it off, instantly solving the problem. Many thanks again

Just to reassure you that the garage I used is owned by a former driver of the Ecurie Ecosse racing team, famous in the 50's and 60's, driving mostly Jaguars (at Le Mans), and although they are no longer main dealers, they still have Jaguar trained mechanics and charge £45/hour instead of £105/hour at main dealer. My car is running beautifully and my problem with speed limiter has been solved by another post, who told me the switch was on the dash.
