Default Spring conversion electronics

I'm converting my 05 VDP to steel springs. Inexpensive set from Maxspeeding rods,I'm not keeping car forever, No electronics instructions included. Can anyone smarter then me inform on what to do to put out lights etc. I will have the old set of which one front has been replaced recently. Anyone can have them for shipping cost. Thanks. Tom.

On the earlier cars you can spoof the ASM by putting a resister on the end of the CATS sockets that plug into the air spring units. The resistance must be equal to the resistance of the solenoid that switches the shock to Soft. On later cars this apparently doesn't work, so removal of the ASM unit itself is required. I'm not an expert in this, so hopefully somebody can give you the detail of how to do it.

Got the spring conversion done. Ride height is a bit higher than I like and quite stiff but ok. Found an old posting on another site about the electronics. Disconnected all wiring at controller behind rear seat back. Removed R1 relay from right front fuse box. Disconnected battery overnight. No more trouble messages. Need a big pry bar to get control arms down enough to get struts in, rears will also need a bottle jack or similar under shock. Mounting stud pattern on rears is not square so they must be oriented properly. Also don't forget to take the supplied new nuts off the studs before trying to install. Struts are heavy, my arms may never be the same. Thanks for the help.
