Default Steering wheel automatic adjust

My vehicle is equipped to raise and lower the steering wheel automatically when the key is inserted in the ignition. Recently I had to replace the multi-function switch on the left hand side of the column (the one that operates the headlights) because it was faulty. After the replacement, the automatic steering wheel raising function has stopped. Does anyone know the cause of that or how to reset it? I thought maybe that's a part of the programmable "dealer options," but it's not showing up through the SDD software. Thanks.

Make sure the switch is in the central (off) position; if it's left in one of the other positions (ie 'adjust distance' or 'adjust rake') the automatic raising function doesn't work.

Sorry, I should have said the switch has to be central 'Off Position' between the 'Column Adjust' and the 'Pedal Adjust' positions. If it's left in either of those positions then the automatic repositioning of the column when your take the key out doesn't work.
