Steering wheel vibration
Just wondering if the rest of you all have a steering wheel vibration when stopped at a stoplight. Car is smooth while driving but that sitting still vibration is concerning. Could it be a engine/transmission mounts wearing out? The car only has 51000kms on it and we live in moderate Michigan weather. I've had 4 2008 Ford Taurus X Crossovers and they never vibrated like that at a stoplight.
Regarding the mileage I would rather guess a problem with the brake, eg a brake caliper that no longer fully releases.
Can be easily checked, jack up the front and see if the wheels turn freely. Or after a few miles of ride feel if one rim is warmer than the other.
