Default Stiff Door Check

What would cause a door check (or stay) to be really stiff? The thing has lube on it and I already lubricated the hinges, but the door still has resistance when opening. The right rear door has the most resistance and the driver side rear door has some. It's not hard to open just feels like it's dragging I guess is the best way to explain it.

The front doors open totally normal compared to other vehicles. So I think it's an issue with the door check being too stiff. I'll try adding more lube on it but I can see thick lube on it so I don't think it will help much.

It may be related but when I close the door it sounds like there is a tiny plastic bit inside the door that rattles. I don't hear it at any other time. I am planning on taking off the door panel to see what's inside.

Any thoughts or ideas here? 2006 XJR with 49K miles.

Also, what is the part # for a new one if I want to buy a new one? I'm still looking for a good OEM parts lookup site for my car.

Well I used some thick lube on it and it helped a little bit. So I guess I will live with it because I never sit in the back seat LOL.

My car had sat a while before purchase. The door squeaked when opening and closing. Plus were tight. Hinges helped. To quieted down I sprayed a light lubricant into the door. The internal mechanism was dry. Lubing this solved my issue.
