short in drivers side rear light unit
First I wish to thank all the previous posts regarding shorts in lighting. One post was especially helpful by indicating the major issue is there are too many functions on individual grounds. The post suggested soldering the individual light with another ground wire.
I took this one step further. I disconnected the plug. Spliced the ground wire, UK wiring also uses BLACK as negative earth (Ground). Connected another wire to the connecter screw holding the outside plastic housing and all lights now work and no constant "bulb failure" warning message.
Thanks again to all who posted before, without you I would have been lost.
