i'll tell you..........ITS BAD AS HELL ! I bought my 2004 xjr for under $18,000 and i've only had it for 30 days and i love it ! AND IT HAS NAV. WITH 20" SEPANGS

 

i dunno what breaks on them yet but they do eat rear tires very quick like.

 

What breaks?
air suspensions, front and rear control arms, sqweaky belts, heated steering wheels, parking sensors, adaptive cc, and that really cheezy headliner. From what I've personally experienced and have read, these appear to be most common over time. All things considered, it could be alot worse. I've had mercedes, audis and bmws without electrical gremlins that take mucho time to detect. At least the jag is a pretty straight forward car...and as jeremy clarkson puts it, "Driving this is like floating on a lilo, on an oiled-up Thai teenager, in a warm bath, on a nice day, on a beach, in the tropics, while listening to Jean Michel Jarre. And that, come on, is what you want really."

 

When you start the engine, the car has to lift itself to normal hight in 3 minutes. If it doesn't, it means something is wrong with it... Check AIR SUSPENSION FAULT topic in the XJ8 forums...

 

When you shut the car off, you should also here the air bags deflating after a few mins.
