Thinking about buying an XJR

I didn't notice a sticky for a list of things to look for when buying a used XJ when I searched so what should I be looking for specifically when I'm looking? I'm looking at '05 and '06 XJRs with under 30K miles. Is the certified warranty a decent deal? Is there anything specific to be worried about on these cars?
I've always been interested in a Jaguar but have always ended up buying a Merc or BMW or this last time a Lexus instead. The prices seem very good on the current models even with low mileage so it is very tempting. I'm going to try to get out and go have a test drive in the next week or so as I haven't driven one of the '04+ XJs yet.
I've heard reliability is way up now and I'm a Land Rover owner (have a Range Rover and a Defender 90 currently and have owned 7 other Land Rovers previously) so I'm used to a car that needs attention often (and have my mechanic's phone number and favorite alcoholic beverage memorized).
Thanks for the help and I look forward to possibly joining the community.

Drive it, Buy it, You"ll luv it
Really
And definently The Select Edition is Highly recommended
Not that you"ll ever need it
Its just better to be safe
And the Select Edition is a verry comprensive warranty

yeah i wouldnt buy one with out a CPO warranty ( mine has one) and also wouldnt buy it without navigation ( one of the few options) if you need black book pricing when you find one let me know
Put it up in the air and look at the air springs. Look for any dampness around the bags. Pretty much the only weak spot on the XJ is the air suspension and the shocks are not covered under select.
Otherwise great car. I would own one.

The air suspension is not covered under the warranty? Wow...that is the always the worst part to deal with on a Range Rover and the reason to have a good extended warranty. Is the system prone to failure? What sort of costs are involved to replace an air spring?

Yikes! That is high...higher than they are for a Range Rover (although they are covered under the warranty on the Rover).
I didn't have time to drive it but I did stop by a dealer today that sells a lot of cars on ebay and walked around and looked through the windows of a black/tan '06 with 20K for $48K. They also had an '04 with 61K for $26K (gray/gray). I'm going to try some time next week to go test drive them.
