Default Transmission fluid level warning?

I sent my car to the shop and the mechanic said that there was a minor leak in the transmission cooling line, I know there is no dipstick for me to keep an eye on this but will I get a notification from the car if it gets too low? I will eventually have the lines replaced, but after just rebuilding the suspension I need a while to recooperate funds.

Input is appreciated!

Michael

I do not believe you will get a "transmission fluid low" warning. What many members report is some sort of gear shifting problem or "lurching" and then discover that their transmission fluid is either very old or low.

There is no fluid level measurement device in the transmission, so no warning can be generated.

Cooling line leaks are very common. Need to get those replaced rather quickly. They are about $200 from dealer.

Is there a common cause of these leaks? My dealer inspection just reported line leaks as well, but I haven't seen them yet myself.

In my case, the cause was a loose or damaged connection of these oil lines on the radiator in the front area.
That was what was discovered by my mechanic during a routine inspection. Fortunately it was stil a very small leak.
