Default Turning Radius

Does anyone have the reversing turning radius

My new shed will be finished next week and Im looking at options for locating the hoists.

I will be installing a 4.5 Ton 2 post overhead and a 4 post with 4 wheel alignment pads.

Im just working though the options for the lift placements. Its not just getting the cars onto the lift but placement effects the lengths and routing of the power, water and air lines as well

Cheers

Because you can back into a tighter spot than going forwards.

Many times reverse radius will be different as rear wheels are not trailing. The longer the wheelbase, the more possibility different radius.
I would do a dry run and chalk the floor first be for installing the lifts. You will find focus points on how to fit in the lift area. Sort of how we know where the car is when parking in a tight garage. It would suck to find out after the lifts where installed, that you could only pull in or back in, but not both. Many times you have more radius when backing in as you can swing the front around.
I know that I can back into my tight carriage house way better than drive in, as I can stuff the rear end in the corner. I got good at it after towing and parking jets on a aircraft carrier for 22 years. We REALLY stuffed them in.
Smart move to find out prior.

The problem is car is laid up awaiting new rear struts.
Added to that the driveway wont be down till the new year.

As for fwd vs back
The lift locations are accessible on both ends as I have roller doors behind them.
So I can drive around the shed or though to access the lifts.

Its more about clearance for everything else.
With bit of luck the shed will be watertight next week, just trying to get a head start on things

You can see some time lapse video's of the construction here https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/a...0/#post1810027

This is just the assembly, so far
