I've never liked the blondish color of the gearshift knob on my '07 XJ* VDP because it so mismatches the darker & grainier wood trim. Any ideas? Does anyone know what wood my trim is? And a source for a knob in that same species or a close match? Thanks so much.
Want a gearshift knob that better matches interior trim wood.

 

I got a nice little shift knob in walnut with a Jag 'Growler' badge on it from LeBarCo (the Little British Car Company) for very little money, and it's a very close match to my interior wood. I much prefer it to that butterscotch-coloured door knob that came with the car.
