Water in right-rear footwell.
Good idea to tape it to test it. I know mine were clear as I had run water through each and watched as it drained below the car. I could see the water dripping from around the AC under the dash which the glove box removed. When I taped over all the AC/Heater vents and turned the fan on high, it blew out the drain lines, the moldy/dirty water would blow out each side of the transmission underneath. But, this was reoccurring after a week or two. So I taped a plastic tube to the end of an air hose, turned on with about 5-10 lbs of air and blew it into the dash vents. Had all the vents covered with cardboard and taped shut when I did this. Cleared it out and could see that it had blown out under the vehicle. That was last summer. We’ll have to see what it does this summer.
This literally just happened to me and I think its a been a source of an issue for years where I had an odor and was like whats that...I was literally washing crap out of various areas of my car where a sludge kind of accumulated at my trunk area trunk and saw a large puddle today at passenger floor. Im going to recreate my issue then apply the TSB...Dammit
To answer your question, no. The water for sure is getting to the rear floor pan from either the gap in the door panel (under the seal) or trunk (another prone area) I know it doesn't seem like it's possible (trust me I've been there) but it certainly is..
No need to remove the rear seat. Just the passenger side seat removed will give you more than enough room to get the carpet up. Rest assured you'll find standing water on the floor pans and that foam will be soaked. You'll also find water might have found its way to the front floor pan as well. This was the case with my car.
I thought the same.. Wet vac the carpet, dry to touch and all good. Nope, I had water in both rear foot wells (drivers side was due to clogged sunroof drain)
Had to remove both seats, wet vac foam and floor boards and ran a portable heater in car on/off for 2 days to get everything dried up..
Thumbs up on performing those TSB's. If you run into issues or have questions PM me.

hi guys I’m having the exact issue, mine is a 2017 nagar xf r-sport 108k millage, I’ve noticed anytime it rains there’s a lots of water in the right passenger footwell the drivers from is also a bit damp but I just assumed it must be some of the water from the back flowing to the front, I’ve got a sun roof but the problem is I don’t know how to access the sun roof train any advice will be appreciated.
Hi Sheddy 2017 xf,
You will get better help if you post in the correct forum.
Your car should be significantly different from our cars that were built between 2003 and 2009.
Best regards,
Thomas

Currently experiencing this issue on my 04 XJ8 rear driver's side floor and headliner by the pull handle. There was a gap in the two rubber seals on the roof channel which I pulled close previously and that seemed to resolve when it rained the next few times. I noticed water ingress again today after the nor'easter and the seals are separated again. I am going to try to pull together and used silicone to seal more permanently.
One thing I noticed is the bottom of the door was also a bit damp when I opened, including by the bottom of the speaker grille. I removed the speaker grille and there was drip of water at the bottom of the speaker. This makes me believe I could be dealing with 2 leaks, the one on the headliner from roof channel seals that separate and then maybe another somewhere on the door itself. I need to inspect the outside door seals where the glass meets the seals and there are drains by the door frame more carefully and test, as that seems to be a more logical source of entry point for the water source at the floor. The fabric running between the door and seat are not wet, so that leads me to believe there are two entry points.

2006 Jaguar XJ8 L 73,000 miles. Sunroof. After a rain or a car wash I'm getting standing water in my right rear footwell. I can vacuum it dry and it will stay dry until it rains again, or when I go thru a car wash again.
I dropped the headliner and removed the right-rear trunk panel to inspected the right-rear sunroof drain tube. Solidly connected, not brittle, no holes, no kinks. Blew compressed air through line and it's clear.. Through visual inspection both ends are connected and secure. Emptied a bottle of water into each corner of sunroof and it quickly drained to the ground thru the tubes. Not a problem with the seals around the sunroof or around the rear door. The carpet below seat is dry and along the right- rear pillar is dry along the inside with no signs of ever being wet. Seals look new. When driving no wind noise from around door. Suggestions?

I still get the water in my passenger footwell which i believe makes its way to the drivers footwell, I’ve checked what u did in yours and I can see the previous owner has pulled and glued the seal at the bottom of the speaker, I’ve also noticed water lines coming from the door card which seems to be above the seal so it could mean this water is actually draining into the car from the door card, I’ve also noticed when it rains a lot and I’m parked with the car leaning left I don’t water in car.
Agree, I am inclined to believe an entry point is tracking water through the door card and into the footwell which I haven't seen previously reported here or in the TSBs. When I have a chance to do some testing, I will report back my findings.
Did a bunch of testing. It's my rear, left sunroof drain causing the leak. Pulled down the headliner as much as I could without removing the whole side and can see it dripping at the nozzle of the drain line meeting the sunroof channel. My guess is it is clogged, as the positioning is fine according to the TSB and the connection looks to be in good condition- free of cracks. Water is dripping down below the grab handle and both running toward the C pillar as well as dripping to the foot rest area.
Ran out of time but will be attempting to clean out the drain.

Just an update, confirmed my issues were entirely due to a clogged rear sunroof drain on the driver's side where the nozzle meets the drain. After clearing and a full day of heavy rain (2"), the interior is bone dry. I know people are stressing the TSB resolutions but do not rule out actual clogged drains. I used a 50/50 mix of water and vinegar to finally get it unclogged and then 18 gauge steel wire to fish through the tube at the rear access to clear the clog at the very beginning of the tube where it meets the drain.
