Weak A/C anecdote
FYI how I solved my air conditioning problem. I found a leak, replaced the part and charged it but was still experiencing inadequate cooling. I noticed the the A/C worked better at speed so I started looking at air flow.
The fan would run, had battery voltage, ignition voltage, ground and variable voltage on the signal wire but was not running enough for the A/C. Instead of doing further testing I decided to just replace the fan.
I installed an aftermarket fan that advertises 3000 cfm and a variable speed controller. The difference in the air conditioning is huge. The A/C doesn't just run a little colder, it blasts cold air.

I removed the original fan motor from the shroud and replaced it with a universal fan. I wanted to reuse the shroud in order to get the right fit and have the original mount for the auxiliary coolant pump.
