Default What Is It? Oil Cooler or Oil Filter Adaptor or Oil Filter, Etc.

In my previous Oil Leak exploration on another thread, I determined the leak could be fixed by replacing the O-ring seals in the Oil Filter Housing(Adaptor)(Cooler) or whatever the part to which the oil filter attaches is called along with the oil pan gasket.

In the 2 attached photos, you will see the part; it differs from what I thought it would be because it has 2 similar metal pipes (oil cooler pipes?) each attached similarly with a #8 bolt.

I was hoping to find a sequential procedure for removing & replacing the part. So far, my search of the shop manual has produced several possibilities, but none I've found seem to precisely describe the part on my 2004 XJR with Supercharger. Mine may be a hybrid of cooler & adaptor.

I have removed the 2 sensors & the bolts from the 2 pipes but have not removed the part. I am tempted to forget replacing the O-ring(s) & just bolt the pipes back. With a little luck, only the oil pan was leaking. However, I would prefer to replace the O-ring in the Oil Filter Adaptor. I would just continue to remove the part, but the upper metal pipe looks like it could be a bear to reattach; I would like to know the sequence of reattaching before i proceed.

Does anyone have experience with this part & its removal/installation procedures? Can anyone help me find the procedure in the manual? Thanks!

Failed to mention there is no leaking from either of the metal pipes.

After all of that, it came off uneventfully &, unless I'm missing something, should go back on the same. Discovered another possible leak in the cam cover that could only be seen after the OFH was removed. I'll jump back to the Oil Leak Thread. Best

After Action: Don't be intimidated by this part as I was. Removal & reattachment are very straight forward & intuitive. As I mentioned on the "first oil leak" thread, the leaks are fixed. Couldn't have done this without this forum. Thanks to all for making it work.
