Hi: Local shop refused to check and top off trans citing "roughed up" fill plug. Stated I would have to have new one at the ready as they would "likely destroy old one" getting it out and "don't want to be responsible." OK so what is that part number? Cannot find blow up diagram on gaudin page much less the part itself to order; can someone provide guidance? Thank you. x350 04 xj8

 

The part number is VIN-specific: C2C6729 or C2C38965.

Always provide the VIN when ordering parts from a Jaguar agency as parts can be superseded.

 

You may want to find another shop to carry out any service on the ZF 6HP26/28 gearbox.

 

Thank you for this. How does one find this? I managed to download most of the electric diagrams from here but cannot manage the entire JTIS.
Yes the credibility of this shop is falling apart. They did the rear brakes OK and replaced a broken J-gate shifter correctly at lower price than dealer. But now this makes me wonder if they just don't want to do my oil changes and easy stuff any more.
