Default Where do I find a replacement rim for my XJR

2008 XJR 20" Rims

POT HOLES! Now I need to replace 1 rim. Can anyone tell me where I can find this one 20x9 Rim? Yes I love curbs too. I think I need glasses

Thanks

UPDATE: 4/7/13 I am still looking for a replacement rim but in the meantime someone recommended Custom Wheel Refinishing in North Hollywood. I took my rim and there are 3 workers, one that repairs, another paints and the other buffs. I watch them repair the crack tire and the process to fix it. It was also bent in two places. less then an hour I was out of there with the repaired rim. Jag tire warning light re-set and days later all is good.

Thanks for all the help and will continue to look for a replacement.

If there was a full size tire like my XJ8 I would have changed it out but my XJR comes with a pirelli donut. Go figure. Still need to replace one, not interested in replacing all 4.

The rim can be fixed! Check with tire and rim specialists.

Great looking wheel by the way, the only option would be main dealer, but alloy wheel repair in LA you have a vast choice. They will make it like new for about $200.

I would check ebay and Google as well as trying to get the wheels repaired. I recently purchased an 18 inch wheel, same 5 spoke design so that I had a full sized spare. Purchase price was $150 delivered with a used tire mounted on it. I found it on ebay.

I called my Jaguar Dealership Service guy today (yes I bought an extended warranty) and he recommended Collision Body Specialist in North Hollywood. Dropping off my rim / tire tomorrow. Will come back and let you all know if all went well for this hairline crack on the inside.

Thank you, I like these tires too BUT these low profiles suck for sustainability. Hit a pot on the right front, it takes out two front tires and without knowing the hairline crack that happened hitting a bump. Didn't realize how expensive it is for a recondition 20x9 rim. $500-$600+ and my tire place couldn't even find one and said if I can't find one no one can (right now).

eBay and Junk Yards didn't have my 5 spoke 20". There has to be a JAGUAR Junk Yard somewhere.

Thanks everyone.

I can't tell from the photo if it is a front or rear rim, but here is a 'like' rim on ebay for 200.

A few more thoughts here. I do not believe the center hub is the same for XKs and XJs, so check before you purchase.

also if you are concerned about the 20 inch low profile tires on the roads, you could probably get a set of 18 inch 5 spoke wheels to fit your Jag on ebay, that would be more available and safer on the roads??? Wheels would probably be about 100 to 125 each depending on condition, plus the cost of new tires. Its one option

PCD and center bore of the X150 XK and X350 XJ are same but the offsets are very different, XK's have a staggered setup with wider rears. Don't bother trying to get XK wheels on an XJ, been there, tried that, didn't work...

RDMinor: Yes that looks like the one. Yeah, I noticed on other sites (not in stock) they are about $500-600 for used. I will call them on Monday to discuss specs.

GREAT! THANK YOU!

Various sites that may have something that may help you. The last one is a company that refurbishes wheels and seems to be part of a group of similar sites and they probably work from the same inventory. Worth a try anyway.

Found this too, i've had good luck using car-part.com. Search results from 08+ xjr, 20x9 wheel 5spoke w/groove.

I concur with others about Ebay. You can get a new or "reconditioned rim" but I find their prices a bit extreme. There's a company called The Rim Doctor URL Wheel Refinishing, Aluminum Wheel Repair, Alloy Wheel Repair. I recently used them and had all 4 of my rims "straightened" and re-finished. The cost to me was 600 or all 4. I'll post the before and after pics of all the rims so you can see the quality of the work.'

Damaged rims will be the first 4, Repaired will be the 2nd 4. It just seemed a better option to me to get all 4 of my rims reconditioned like those you see on ebay as being re-manufactured 600 total, rather than spending anywhere from 350 to 500 each for the same thing.
