Default Where do you buy parts????

I love my 2004 Vanden Plas but getting parts has been difficult.

Where do you folks go to get parts?

Thanks

Eddie

Hey Eddie, try ken@britishparts and NalleyJag as they are our vendors and offer some good deals.
There are also other places you can try if you wish...try asking in your relevant section and see where other members go for their products / parts

The web is a wonderful place. Shop around. I always go to ebay first but you have to know exactly what you are looking for there. A lot of parts can be found at the national chain auto parts stores. Big ticket items like ECM, TCM shop recycling yards.

I agree, always check here first before looking around on the internet or salvage yards. We've got vendors and members for the new stuff, as well as finding used parts, and from these guys, they're guaranteed to work, no blind faith efforts there.

If you need a part, post a thread in the Wanted section, and maybe another one in the specific model section. You'll get tips and advice on where to go, perhaps even someone saying 'hey, i've got one, PM me for a price', I've seen it happen.

good luck!

MK 82, like was mentioned, talk with Ken@britishparts.com. Send an e-mail to him at that name and he will hook you up. He can get most of what you are after. I also get some of my parts through a Jaguar dealership out of Cleveland Ohio. They have some of the best prices around and they can get you pretty much anything that you are after. Check out http://www.jaguarparts.com. I have used them twice and gotten great service from them both times.

But, when I can, I try to get parts locally. But, I am finding that I can only really get the basics (oil, air filter, stuff like that). Anything specific and I am having to use either Ken or Jaguarparts.

Welsh is a good source too, although a little thin on 04 and up XJs but very good on all earlier stuff. I got a new OEM lower control arm for my 05 XJR suspension at half dealer price from them.
