Where to fix heated seat??
I have 2008 XJ8L and my driver heated seat is not working. When I turn on the heated seat, the steering wheel gets warm but not the actual seat.
Do I have to go to the dealer to fix this. Any suggestions please??

I have the exact same issue. Have checked all fuses but not gotten under seat yet. All other seats seem to warm correctly. Thanks for asking the question and thanks in advance to anyone with good advice.
First thing to look at is the electrical guide
A few few questions to narrow it down
1. Do the heated seat switches light up on the console?
2. When you checked the fuses which ones did you check?
3. Do both front seats not heat up or only one of them?
4. Check fuse 3 and 42 in the passenger footwell fusebox
5. Check Fuse 47 in the rear fusebox
The issue usually comes down to a few things
Fuses, Earths, FEM, sensor, plugs
Cheers

I had to have new heat pads in my seat a few months ago, when they tested out the problem they also found that the front passenger seat was not warming either.
It is a bit of a pain to remove the leather covering so it made sense to renew the seat base AND backrest pads at the same time.
All working now.
There are a few things on you tube about heated seat pads you may want to look at.
You may want to tackle the job yourself but it was suggested you really need upholstery pliers and pins/staples to do it correctly.
I am going to attempt to do the seat in my Grand Cherokee when the weather warms up but did not want to screw up the seat covers in the Jaguar.
