Default wiper blade source

Anyone have a source or part number for the skinny wiper blade refills?
I found the shorter passenger side one at NAPA but the drivers side (longer one) is not available in the skinny type.
Would like to keep the stock setup if possible.
Cheers,
Chad

Hey C, hope life has been treating ya well! someone recently made a post about a kit you can buy off of ebay with bosch icon style wiper blades but work with the washers mounted on the arms

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=11931

I think it would be worth a try, not sure if those type are your style but i love them on my cars.

455-245 part number at Carquest. It's a trico blade rebranded. Fit perfect...

Is that the refill for both sides? I need to replace my inserts as well.

I was mistaken...
right is 455-190
left is 455-245

Not exactly sure on the 15- but the 190 and 245 are correct and fit perfect. These are refill blades and you will need a needle nose pliers to squeeze the old blade out of the wiper arms.

I found the short side at Napa The longer one was too fat to fit the wiper claw.
(It was 8mm wide and the claw is 6mm)
I found the longer one (drivers side) at Carquest. Their p/n 455-245.
I bought two longer ones so I don't have to go through this again.
I don't have the p/n for the shorter one from Napa at hand.
It seems the shorter one is easy to find. The narrow fit at 6mm goes up to a 22inch length and after that >24 they're 8mm wide. A 24 inch insert with the narrow (6mm) claw is the one you have to search for.
hth,
Chad
(man I never thought wiper blades would be such a PITA!)

Jaguarparts.com has them but they dont show a part number with it, so you have to search for it. Its $21.17 for each side

Inserts (refills if you prefer) were about 5 bucks at Napa and Carquest.
With all the rain we had last night I was glad I had new blades on the wipers.

For a full arm replacement the Napa Teflon line works too.

Just found out that the Trico Teflon line (Advance Auto, and many other sources) will accept the Jaguar insert perfectly. New arm, new blade, old washer system. Works perfectly. About 18 bucks apiece.

I went to the dealer. $20 for the pair. Couldn't find them anywhere else.

Default Wiper Blades

Yes, just snaps in. If you disasemble the wiper blade from the wiper arm, the wiper arm is the typical type with a "J" hook at the end. The plastic clip (which contains the windshield washer jets) will simply unsnap from the old wiper blade, and you snap it into the new wiper blade. Done! Actually quite easy, once you see it all apart. And this allows you to use an aftermarket wiper blade but still gives you a much higher quality blade than the "refill-only" style--these are apparently being phased out because the parts stores make a lot more money selling a 20 dollar blade than a 3 buck refill...

OEM inserts are $11.60 each at Nalley. Talk to Dan and tell him you're a Jag Forum member.
