Can you scope the CPS? I know it is new, but new means (according to the Car Doctor) Never Ever Worked.

 

sound like you learned yourself a new lesson. test light lighting has nothing to do with amperage and you need amps to turn a starter not voltage glad to hear you figured it out.

 

Thanks for the info. My 2004 has been sitting all winter and won't start either. Now I have some things to check. Also FYI there is also a fuel pump switch that trips sometimes that you can reset through a hole by the hood release.

 

I just had the alternator bearing go out and took it to a alternator shop to have the bearing replaced

Your other electrical systems being effected points to one of the main power distribution relays on the car for a section

There may be a specific relay for the fuel injectors like on the earlier X308 V8

The relay can be intermittent and be swapped with one of the same part #

No , there is no specific fuel injector relay for the V6 or V8 2004

Do you have starter rotation ?

The inertia switch does not always reset and you can jumper across the connector
