Default X350 Tyre Pressure.

Hi guys, what are you running your tyre pressures at, I went round mine and found they were at 24psi from the PO.
I took them up to 28psi and found it quite twitchy. I have dropped them to 26 but they still seem bouncy. Any thoughts?

On my 2004 XJ8 the tire pressure(s) are displayed inside the gas filler door flap.

Downloading an X350/XJ8 owner's manual will provide you with basic information such as this. They are on this forum and elsewhere on the 'Interweb'.

When I got the car it was at 23psi, petrol flap said 28psi but that was too twitchy, 26 is ok but a bit harsh. Might go back to 23.

On my car nothing is displayed inthe fuel filler cap. The following is from the workshop manual:

Being in Germany, for me the preesures for speeds above 160 km/h apply, and in Summer I keep my 19" wheel at 2.4 bar front and 2.5 bar rear, so 0.2 bar more than the recommendation. I do the same with my 18" wheels with winter tires, 0.2 bar above the recommendation.

Best regards,

Thomas

I run 32 to 33 psi. Whatever keeps the tread flat on the road.
