Default X350 to x358 compatibility

Hi, I have an 06 long body that needs a back seat (I will post in a separate thread the problem when previous owners store tires on jag backseats). I have found an 08 vanden plas parts jag nearby. I know the 08 is the facelift version - So I am wondering if anyone on our forum has ever tried to swap x350 parts with x358 facelift ?

I am specifically interested in the front drivers and passengers seats (Mine has electric, memory and heat)
The back seat
and any exterior body panels --- most specifically wondering if the trunk lids or engine hoods would work --- mine has hail damage

My 05 XJR has X358 front and rear bumper covers, the grill was modified to look like the X358 grill.

Front seats won't work. Might with some wiring swaps. Not sure if frame mounting is the same. I do know the seat frames in front are different. Rears probably fit right in.

Thanks Luv2Fly for the reply. I was hoping for better news as I could get many parts cheap. But someone else I was talking to in person also thought the electronics would be different. I was surprised because everyone calls the 08-09 the facelift so I just assumed 95% of the car was the same and they just slapped vents into the front fenders. He also said he didn't think the trunk lid would work between the two models because he thought the taillights were different shape, I haven't verified this yet. I am hoping the engine hood might swap as mine was hail damaged

A 06 Super V8 is a model that had substantial electrical modifications/improvements compared to the 2003-2005 X350, hence sometimes called a X356.
It is possible that most of the electrical system and many electrically operated hardware such as seats may be compatible between X356 and X358.
But to be checked...
