X350 or x358 headrest monitors question
Hi all,
I've been on the lookout for a Super V8 or full spec XJR specifically one with the rear seat DVD screen monitors in the front seat headrests.
Having 3 children and 2 of them in child seats, it will mean I won't be able to access the middle seat armrest controls - especially the headphone sockets !
My question is :
Is the control panel removable ?
If so, is it that way from the factory?
Can you operate everything else from the screens themselves (are they touchscreen?) ?
Thanks so much. I've learnt so much from these forums and the support you offer each other is simply amazing !!!!
Regards,
Jeremy

Thats not totally true. You can control the volume in the cabin from the front. But with 3 in the back you would have to access the controls to start the movie, but could close it to continue, and control the volume from the front. I'll play with mine and see if what else I can control.
But if it were me, I would look into a aftermarket system for the kids. The cost of installing a factory unit would be high. Also some units are dual screen, Bluray, can change DVD in cabin, and have wireless headsets. A much simpler system for your application.
Small units that mount to the back of the front seats, are removable, and consumable. These would only require 1 wire, pluged into the charge port in the rear of the center console.
If you wanted total control, they have remotes, and if you wanted to play audio in the cabin you could purchase a unit with BT, and steam it thru a Veff Bt unit.
