xj 2005 intermittent electrical fault

xj 2005 intermittent electrical fault
hi and thanks in advance.
just before xmas car suddenly died with no prior warning, all manner of warning lights. could crawl home then towed to garage. initially new battery installed and ecu reset. all goes wel for a whole 2 days before same thing happens! now engine management on and runs but not 100 %. where do you start to look. ps only prior warning was a handbrake warning signal. 3.0 v6 petrol version.

I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble with your Jaguar. Have you had the system scanned for stored Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) using a scanning tool that can read the proprietary Jaguar codes, either at a Jaguar dealer or good independent specialist? Have you had the electrical system tested to see if there is a problem with the alternator or charging circuit? Those are the first steps that come to mind.
