* Secondary Air Pump.
OBD code states the air pump is stuck After a new OEM pump and relay installed, code cleared, restart car engine light comes on with same code. Cleaned ground strap between the transmission and the body. Same issue.
Chassis No.SAJNA79B98SH22673 42,00 miles.

 

What code are you getting? It's more likely to do with a stuck air valve that is not letting the air flow out of the system into the exhaust.

 

Can the code be P2444?
I recently had multiple codes appeared in my 2006 XJL V8: P2444, P0491, P0492 and P0430. After deleting the codes, all were gone except P2444 re-appeard.
mhamilton, would you suggest that I look into a stuck air valve first? I am afraid that after replacing the expensive air pump, I may still get P2444.
