Default XJR 4.2 P0171/P0174 codes - suspect vacuum leak

Hi,

I’ve been trying to find the cause of the dreaded P0171/4 codes. MAF sensor has been changed.

Can anyone identify the part shown in the pictures? There is a rubber seal type of thing which looked to be very worn… I’m just not sure what I’m actually looking at! I’ve since covered what I can with sealant tape as a temporary measure (shown in pictures)

Part number on the actual pipe/wire/hose itself is 5W93-9S442-BB - looks like this might be a vacuum pipe but I’m struggling to find a definite answer. Either way, I would like to try to find a replacement rubber seal for it and to know for sure what it actually is!

Any help anyone could give would be greatly appreciated

many thanks

Elbow beneath throttle body on supercharger intake plenum. O ring perished. Good luck trying to replace in situation. Check your entire intake as both codes point to a common vacuum leak affecting both banks

Anytime. I battled a P0171 issue for a few months. Actually fitted a new o ring and collar for that SC elbow with my inspection camera (was not a pretty adventure)

Also, new MAF sensor and new O2 sensors all around. The car had 105K miles at the time and the sensors were original to the car. I also swapped out the PCV valve, which was identified as another contributor.

Eventually, the other issue was the PCV hose going back to the throttle body.

After swapping that (known rip in the line - but sealed) everything settled down with LTFT's hovering around 4% - both banks after 1,500 miles of varied driving and P0171 resolved!
