I managed to narrow down the source of my aggravating front end clunk & squeaking(just recently) to a shot ball joint on the RHF upper control arm.
The genuine Jaguar part is over $420+. Also, people have been saying the S-Type, XJ, Lincoln ls should fit the XJR.
I'm looking at purchasing the LEMFORDER 3063201 from Rock auto. Does anybody know if this will definitely fit a 2006 XJR?
More Information for LEMFORDER 3063101

Hi JagsteRJX,
You can double-check Lemfoerder part numbers in the catalog at this link:
https://mediaservices.zf.com/Redirec...FzQDaNJAKwU%3D
I assume the reason RockAuto doesn't know that the S-Type/Lincoln LS V8 control arms fit the XJ350 is that Lemfoerder forgot to include them in their catalog, but the part number for the right front upper control arm for the S-Type and Lincoln LS is 30632 01, so if I'm not mistaken, that's the part you need.
For those looking for the left front upper control arm, the Lemfoerder part number is 30631 01.
See this post from lsp, who installed these part numbers on his '05 XJ8L:

Cheers,

ONLY the X202 upper arms are the same as the X350. The earlier X200 cars are different.
Don't know about the Lincoln LS.

I bought the 05 Lincoln LS upper control arms for my 05 Super V8. They are/were a match. S-Type, Lincoln LS, Thunderbird were interchangeable. I just searched for Lincoln LS and matched year to year.
They were bought on eBay. I've since sold the car but as my OEM's were beginning to wear, there was a noticeable improvement (which you would expect.)
I saw no loss in performance while I owned the car.
I believe, but not 100% certain that they had the Lemforder stamp on them. Sorry, I just don'e recall but for the cost, it is simply a no brainer for me.
Mine purchase had a money back guarantee as well.

The arms came from Delray Ford. They were around 120.00 each. These are the Lemforder arms and fit my 2006 XJR perfectly.
Since the rubber was deteriorated on all suspension I tried to extend the life. I rubbed all the rubber with a lubricant/preservative to hopefully delay the rubber rot.
The boots and bushings on my XJR were all shot. Took it in for an alignment after purchase and they called to tell me to come look at it. Every boot, bushing, and seal had crumbled away. They said to get out the checkbook.
I thought the car had maybe been soaked in gasoline or other solvent. Boots do dry rot and fail. But not every rubber part on a nine year old vehicle.
We have a BMW and Audi the same vintage as the XJR that have Lemforder suspension parts. The rubber is perfect on both. Not a single cracked boot.

Thanks for your input guys.
I just received the 2006 Lincoln LS 2006 arm from Rock Auto and it's a Lemforder, looks identical to the one on my XJR.
Installing it should keep me busy over the long weekend.

Hey JasteRJK, Can you let us know how the Lincoln A arms worked for you. I'm getting ready to purchase a set of arms for my 2005 xjr, and its great news that I don't have to spend hundreds more because there for Jagua Thanks.

Just received the Lincoln LS Lemforder upper control Arms for my 2005 xjr part number listed in this thread and they looked just like my originals and fit beautiful. These were from Rock auto. Thanks!
My apologies to the people of the future, you will not be able to find anything useful if you follow this link...
I put these on a few months ago, they are doing fine so far. They felt a few thou too wide when trying to install them, so I wound up muscling them in place. Been holding up fine so far.
Also got these, and yes that's my review. One of the tie rods failed in a few weeks/ few miles. I don't recommend them.
Also got some low cost sway bar end links, working fine so far. I complained that there were only two nyloc nuts, not four funky-bent lock nuts. The seller didn't even respond. Whatever, they seem to be okay. Gotta be better than 11 year old stuff, right? (except those tie rods)...

After running into issues last weekend with tools, I managed to replace my shot ball joint this weekend. The Lincoln LS 2006 control arm from Rock Auto rocks on my 2006 XJR!!
Now my cat is too quiet and I hear every little bit of sound from the leather seats squishing. Gunna have to get 200cell cats and center muffler delete with X-pipe to fix that.
