1995 XJ6 wiper motor replacement/removal
Hi,I am new to the forum and tot the Jaguar ownership...my first question is related to the wiper assembly replacement. My new(to me) van den Plas has a fried wiper motor, and I found a complete assembly from a 1998 XJ8 that looks pretty similar, aside from the actual motor manufacturer(BOSCH vs Electrolux) and the connector. How do I get the whole assembly out in order to install the new one?,it seems like very tight space to slide out the whole thing between firewall and engine, any detailed instructions/help will be appreciated...

Hi, The X300 wiper motor requires that you undo the three upper bolts, slide the three lower clips - two in left to right direction and one in a right to left direction, These are difficult to see as they are hidden below the mechanism. Unclip the wiring connector. Remove the wiper arm by releasing the outer nut and then the inner nut. Lightly push the pivot in to the body and remove the whole unit towards the right, this requires a bit of a tug towards the front to release the three lower pins and a slight rotation towards the front.
Be sure to note the sequence of washers on the arm as you undo and remove as it can be a bit confusing when replacing.
