I need to know where the wires on the alternator go. It would be helpful if I got a diagram. I need to know about the 2 wires where the regulator is.

 

thanks for this questions, i'm also trying to figure out how to reconnect the wires. i can get the alternator itself back in but dont know how to connect all the electrical components. I figure that the battery and the suppression module positive cable both connect to the positive terminal on the alternator, but I can find the negative terminal on the alternator to plug in the negative suppression module cable

 

I swapped out my alternator recently, and I don't recall having any difficulty. I'll see if I have the old and and can figure it out over the weekend.

I am attempting to replace alternator in my 1997 xj6. How do i get it out top or thru the bottom. How do i remove the wires attached to it. Your prompt response is greatly appreciated. Thanks tonytom
