95 xj6 loses power when driving and idling rough

my loyal xj6 just turned 140k and started to acted up. it loses power when driving and will not go over 2k rpm. any ideas??

First thing I would do is change the fuel filter if this has not been done in a while.

check filters, engine tune up and consult jaguar dealer for a technical service bulletin, its free of charge, if yours is an X300 there is a recall on the e prom computer part. Dealer will perform it for free, e mail me if you want an official copy of the recall program.
