95 XJ6(x300) headlight switch
OK
So I'm beginning to think that all the folks at Lucas electric were sadists....
I LOVE my XJ6 - wouldn't trade it for the world, but am unable to (safely) drive at night currently. The headlight switch seems not to be making a good connection when I turn it on......any thoughts on repair or should I just try a full replacement (oh and would the connectivity issues I have on the left side possibly be causing my cruise control to stop working)
Thanks a Million to whomever responds...

The first thing I would do is lift the hood go to the right side and lift the cover over the wheel well. You'll see a fuse chart find the fuse that runs the head lights and anything else that has to with the lights. Next I would go to this site and research the wiring diagram and all the relays. http://www.captainjaguarscathouse.co..._Reference.htm

A bit vague :-). So, the headlights don't work at all? Or do they flicker? Or work one day and not the next...?
Flickering or intermittent operation suggests loose or dirty contacts and connectors. Not sure about the X300 headlight switch in particular but many switches can be removed and partially disassembled to clean the contacts
Cheers
