96 xj sport wont start

96 xj sport wont start
Hi everyone
Drove my 96 xj sport to work everything fine. 10 hrs later went to start it nothing no clicking starter motor nothing. Battery checked ok. Red P visible. No indicators,fog or headlights. Did reverse into a post a week earlier and rear bumper fell off. Any help much appreciated.

Check and clean all the power connections. The most likely culprit is the ground strap from the engine to the frame, but loose batt. cables or bulkhead connections can also be a problem.

Hi Everyone
Thanks for all of your input. The problem has now been sorted it was the gear shift microswitch even though the P was glowing red, a quick removal and a bend of the matal all fine again.
