the dead spot is your faulty tps, the dead spot is a worn spot on tps. already been there.

I am experiencing the same thing with my 95 xjr6. If I drive normally it's ok, however, never mind passing gear or getting out of an intersection quickly because it will cut out.cif the engine doesn't cut out because I released the gas pedal quickly enough then it will throw some codes and go into limp mode until I clear them (always refers to catalyst issue)

I'm curious to know if you also experience any intermittent pulsating/feedback of the gas pedal.

I was told by a local jag specialist just 2 weeks ago that it likely is the TPS (throttle Position Sensor) just like jeremiahjaguar stated. I have already started looking for one.

My gut feeling is a TPS fault, as mentoned earlier.

However, the pedal pulsating/feedback sounds like the traction control activating.

Cheers
