I removed by rear passenger wheel on my 97 jag xj6 and in the wheel well is see this bushing, I guess, but nothing is in it. So I searched around and didn't find an answer likely because I don't know what to search for. So, what goes in there?

It's not a bush and nothing goes in there. It's a bump stop. It looks intact and in good condition.
