Default ABS system and Trac Fail?

I had these lights come on while pulling into a parking garage along with the "Trac Off" green light on the bottom of the instrument panel. Now when I start the car and drive about a quarter mile the lights shut off and then the abs or traction control system keeps kicking on randomly. When I stop the brake pedal rattles and the ABS kicks on at low speeds. Then I hear the traction control turning on while I'm driving normal. Then I guess the system over works itself and shuts off completely agian for the remander of the trip. Sometimes the lights stay on the dash when I do start it for awhile then go off maybe after 10 minutes, so it's not always immediately "fixed" when turning on. Any ideas what this could be? I mean I know these things happen and since I've owned the car I've had very minimal problems. It's only got 128,900 miles on it. Seems like a good run for an ABS system LOL

Certainly not an uncommon issue. It's a matter of opening up the control unit and re-soldering a couple of pins on the circuit board. However, with that said, *your* issue might not be related to this fix.

I used this thread to fix:
