AIr flow meter output voltage?
Hi,
I am new to the forum but i have just brought my friends 1996 4L Soverign X300 after he has been getting a little frustated with a fault. It is mint and far to nice to scrap which is what he was going to do. The car will start sometimes but normally not when hot. It seems to be over fueling hence the reason it will not start.
I have connected my OBD reader to the car and i am getting no reading from one of the lambda sensors0(mV) and 0(g/s)from the airflow meter but all other sensors are working fine.
When i swap the lambda sensor over i am getting a reading so i know the ECU and loom is good but the sensor is bad. New sensor!
Now the airflow meter is also not giving me a reading on the OBD scanner either and when i measure the voltage from the centre wire of the Air Flow Meter plug (3 wires) i am getting only 20-30mV . I would be very greatfull if someone else would be able to give me the Voltage reading they have with the ignition on and at idle so i have something to compare it to. The voltage fluctuates but seems more like interfearance.
No workshop manual so i cant look it up but i have one on order. Just want to get it running as i have never had a Jaguar before and i have always wanted on. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Miguel
