Default Air Intake temperature sensor - readings above 200F

The past few days my air intake temperature readings have been averaging about 212degreesF with an ambient temperature of about 70degreesF. My engine temp readings seem to be ok at about 178degreesF but I'm not sure why the intake temps are reading so high. They use to read at about 130degreesF before. I thought that maybe just cleaning my MAF sensor would work but today on my way to work I was still getting high readings. I am running an aftermarket oil k&n filter, would this be the issue?

Anyone have any ideas what it could be? This is on my 97XJR btw and I know the part numbers differ slightly from the XJ6 MAF and the XJR MAF

I would give the MAF a good cleaning and see what you have, but my guess is that your MAF is shot.
