When you say you have trouble starting, can you be more specific? Does the engine turn over? Does it turn over slowly? Does it not turn over at all? Do you know what your battery voltage read when engine switched off and when engine is running? ( difficult to know now, yes!)

Did you replace with a new battery?Get the battery charged up fully, make sure the terminal connections are clean and tight and check for any earth connections. Check connections at the starter motor. The list is endless but working through things methodically is the way to go and start with the simple stuff. But a good battery is a must. These cars need full power!

I wouldn't think the alarm is the problem if the car was running previously.
